Goldendoodles & Golden Retrievers

Who We Are

We are a small in-home Mother / Daughter / Family program and strive to breed healthy puppies with amazing temperaments . . . the perfect family pet!

Our journey started in 2012 with our first litter of golden retrievers and we instantly fell in love. All five of the Farr children grew up with dogs, and if space had allowed there would have been numerous other critters! While the majority of our puppies are goldendoodles, we occasionally still have golden retrievers and have  added bernedoodles and aussiedoodles to our program. Our final litter of bernedoodles will arrive in in 2026 and we will no longer have them included in our program.

Susan (mom) received her initial teaching degree in Agriculture Sciences, with a concentration in Animal Science. After several years, she switched to Special Education and has been teaching that for over 25 years. Some of her girls who are certified Therapy Dogs get to join in on the school day and really are true miracle workers for the entire student body and staff. It has been a great assset to have Susan’s genetic background.  With her husband Jim, who is the self proclaimed Pooper Scooper, they live outside of Haviland, Ohio. They breed mostly traditional red/apricot goldendoodles, an occassional litter of red golden retreivers and have one berndedoodle gilr who will be retiring soon.

Hannah (daughter) graduated from college with a degree in Animal Science. She lives with her husband, Tyler, and their two young children in Mt. Cory Ohio. She works as Farm Relations Specialist for Danone and aslo runs a very busy operation, Three Step Acres Farmstand, where she has a barn and pasture full of animals, including Patsy the Water Buffalo! Hannah and Tyler have English cream Golden Retreivers, apricot and merle goldendoodles and an Australain Shepherd in their program.

What People Are Saying About Us

Farr’s Goldens and Doodles are wonderful. We got our little Sammie in June of 2019. She is the most precious dog. We could not love her more. Farr’s breeding program is top notch! They spend so much quality time with their puppies before you even receive them. Our Sammie is so calm and well behaved and I credit Farr’s Goldens and Doodle for this.

Debbie

If your intentions are to get a perfect family pet that has been hand raised and loved then Farr’s is the breeder for you! I have 2 Golden doodles and you absolutely can tell which was from Farr’s. I love that they love their pets even when the breeding years are over. Their dogs are pets first and foremost. Loving our Maizee 5 years in.

April

We’ve gotten two pups from Farr’s Goldens and Doodles. Their breeding program is stellar. The puppies are well loved, taken care of and exposed to many sensory experiences before being sent to their new homes. Even after several years I still reach out with questions and Susan is always happy to help guide us in the right direction.

The Process

Interested in a puppy? To get started, just fill out our application. Once we receive your application with your preferences, we will reach out to you to make sure we have all of the information. At that time, you can proceed in 2 ways.  You may submit a $300 deposit right away to secure a spot for a specific upcoming litter….or you can remain on our contact list and we will contact you when we will be having a litter that meets your preferences. You can place the deposit then. We keep names on a master list and puppy picks occur close to 6 weeks of aged, based on the order of deposit. All deposits are non-refundable, but can be moved to a future litter born within one year.

More Information

Upon their arrival, we will contact the next people on the list for any remaining spots available. Around 6 weeks of age, we will begin the puppy picking process and puppies will go home at 8 weeks of age. While in our care, they receive the best possible care so they will be well-adjusted.

We utilize both an approved waitlist and a contact list.If you place a $300 non refundable deposit upon approval, you are added to our approved waitlist. If you aren’t ready to commit but would like contacted when we get ready to breed, we keep a list with your name and preferences.

Puppy picks are based upon order of deposit. The first two spots are reserved as possible breeder picks for each litter.
